About Melissa

I have always enjoyed following the real estate market of WNC. With the encouragement and support of my loving husband, I took the leap to obtain my NC Broker License in October 2019 after attending the Cumbie & Trull School of Real Estate. I am excited to be a part of the Century 21 Mountain Lifestyles Team and am eager to help future clients find the perfect property to meet their wants, needs, and budget right here in WNC. If you are looking for a detail oriented and attentive broker with a strong business background with strengths in negotiations and dealing with contracts that is truly focused on your needs, then look no further. I'm excited to meet you to ensure we would be a good fit for each other before any commitments are made!

After having grown up visiting Asheville and Western North Carolina with family for summers and holidays, I made Asheville my permanent home in 2006. Since then I have worked a professional career of over 10 years in management, marketing, and operations. I have my BS in Marketing from Clemson University (Go Tigers!) and an MBA from Western Carolina University. I also graduated from Leadership Asheville, been recognized as a top 40 Under 40 in the community, and my husband says I win the Best Wife Award. Currently, I am the General Manager of Asheville Yoga Center and will remain there full-time while pursuing my real estate career part-time. I've been a servant leader in the greater community over the years as a volunteer with the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce, Manna Foodbank, United Way, and the Western Carolina Medical Society. I'm also an active Rotarian as a member of the Downtown Asheville Rotary Club, a board member for American Whitewater, and am a member of the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce's Advocacy and Policy Committee. In my downtime, you will find me playing outside in these lovely mountains I call home with my husband Joe and our dog Darby either mountain biking, road cycling, trail running, whitewater kayaking, hiking, and camping.
